Stock No: 002181

Height:  7.75 Inches / 19.5 cm

Reference: Harding Book 1, Page 277, Fig 1003

A rare well coloured group figure of Ham Peggotty and Emily standing on an oval gilt lined base, Ham with his left arm around Emily, his right arm by his waist, wearing a ribboned hat, jacket, neckerchief, and breeches, Emily holding a handkerchief in her right hand, her left across her waist, wearing a cap, bodice, and skirted apron. This figure forms part of a series of Dickensian figures, three figures in all with similar characteristics, a young boy and elderly woman standing, representing David Copperfield, and Clara Peggotty, and a blind fiddler and child, all believed to be characters from Charles Dickens novels. This example is in very good condition. Made by the Alpha factory in Staffordshire, England c1849.
