A good well coloured figure of William Shakespeare standing cross-legged in an arch on a titled base with gilt raised capitals, his right arm across his waist pointing to a scroll that drapes from a pillar on which his right elbow rests on a pile of books, he is wearing a cloak, doublet, breeches and stockings. In very good condition with minimal ware to gilding.
