A fantastic and very very rare Staffordshire group figure of a Welsh fisherman and his wife, fresh to the market and in great condition, she is standing dressed in traditional Welsh attire, to her side in both hands she holds a basket full of fish, she has a tall Welsh hat on, head and neck scarf, she is wearing an overcoat and long skirt. He also stands in long overcoat, waistcoat and breaches holding a full basket of fish on his head with one arm raised steadying his catch. We have been unable to find this figure in any reference book and we believe it is possibly unrecorded. A fine Welsh figure fresh to the market. Simply fantastic!
