A Standing huntsman or brigand wearing a plumed hat, wearing a shirt, jacket, breeches, and boots, he has a black neckerchief under his collar. He holds the tip of his rifle in his left hand and his powder flask in his right. This figure is previously unrecorded and is one of a pair of theatrical figures, characters from a Victorian melodrama, the source for the figure has still to be found but there are many similar characters portrayed and represented in Victorian twopence coloured tinsel pictures, we share an illustration of one as an example. Made by the Alpha factory modeller, Staffordshire, England c1850, this figure is in mint perfect condition.
