Price: £1250.00
A superb rare dramatic Staffordshire spill vase figure of a female leopard protecting her two cubs, a tree behind with a snake wrapped around in the act of attacking the cub on her back. A very crisp example, fresh out out the mould and in near perfect condition, the snakes head being the only restoration. Made in Staffordshire, England c1850. Harding mentions that this figure has a pair. I have never seen one to this day and believe this figure may be a centerpiece to the smaller standing leopard spill vase pair that are recorded in Harding Book 2, Page 257, Figs 3004/3005.
