A Pair of Seated Turk’s

Stock No: 001001

Height: 5.5 Inches / 14 cm

A lovely small pair of seated Turk’s possibly representing ‘Artabanes‘ and Mandane seated, wearing Turkish garb and turban, the lady holding a musical instroment. The male may well have held a length of pipe connecting to the hookah on the floor to his side.  These figure are in perfect condition. We cannot find an illustration in any book but the figures are similar to one found in Audrey Dudson & Alison Morgan’s, Dudson Staffordshire Figures c.1815-c.1865, page 40, Fig 49.
