A exceptionally rare true pair of diminutive grey coloured Staffordshire horses both standing with a front leg raised on gilt lined oval bases that have been decorate with realistic overglaze enamels, green, brown, and yellow grass colours. Simply a wonderful pair. We have been unable to find a book reference for this pair of figures and believe they could be quite unique. Both figures have been professionally and invisibly repaired. Made in Staffordshire, England, possibly by the Thomas Parr factory c1850.
