A lovely diminutive pearlware figure of a standing boy holding a yellow bird in both hands, bareheaded and wearing an open neck shirt, long trousers, and shoes, standing on an unusual decorated base with a delightful flowering bocage. This figure is the actual example that was used for the illustration in Myrna’s book. The figure has had professional restoration to tips on bocage. Made in Staffordshire, England c1820.
