A very rare and previously unrecorded pearlware glaze pottery bocage figure of a lion facing right, standing four paws on a shaped base with blue and green overglaze enamels. Here we see the lion with his right claw raised on top of a red round ball representing the globe. A diminutive size, well-coloured example possibly made by Hall or Salt. Made in Staffordshire England in the early 19th century period.

Current Condition: Some excellent restoration at bocage leaves, no other damage, repairs, or restoration.
