A fine figure of ‘Charity’ from a set of three standing figures, two above clock faces and one above a pocket watch-holder. The three graces, Faith is represented by a woman in flowing dress holding a cross to her side, Hope is of a young man in tunic and cloak, one hand on hip, the other on an anchor, and Charity by a woman also in flowing robes holding a child in her arms with another standing by her side. This was the motto of the Independent Order of the Good Templars. At the time of writing we hold all three in stock, a very rare tryptic to find. It is my belief that these three have always been together since the day they were made in the 1850’s. They are all in excellent original condition having no repairs, or restoration and are being sold as an original set, they are the figures that were used for the illustration in Mr Duckworth’s book and still retain the collection label to the underside.
