A superb early 19th-century pearlware bocage model of Charity / Widow’s mite? A very fine figure in a multicoloured full length dress with a sash over her right shoulder and tied on her right hip. A child also with a sash over his left shoulder reaching up to her right hip. Interesting to see the omission of the second child in this example compared to Myrna’s illustration and the altered position of her hand now holding a coin, this is totally original.  Attributed to Enoch Wood.
