A head of a man in wing collar and tie. This was made to serve as an inkwell. This figure is said to be that of a man who had an argument with a fellow potter (the potter Charles Ridgeway), in retaliation, the fellow potter made a character head of him and his wife, so that ‘their mouths forever be filled with ink’.
