A fine and rare figure of Daniel O’Connell standing on a shaped gilt lined base, his left hand leaning on a pedestal, his right arm across his chest holding a scroll, to his right another pedestal draped with cloth and a hat, wearing a top hat, long jacket, cravat, and trousers. He was an Irish activist who fought the then prime minister Sir Robert Peel against the Union of Britain and Ireland. This figure is in perfect condition c1840’s
