Stock No: 001785

Height: 8 Inches / 20 cm

Reference: Harding Second Addendum, Page 80, Fig1057A

A very rare standing figure of Macbeth, he is bareheaded and wears a cloak, breastplate, and kilt with sporran. He holds a knife in either hand. The figure stands on a scrolled gilt highlighted base. Harding mentions that his example as the only one recorded, I am delighted to add another to the few known to have survived the years. This figure has a professional restoration to the blade in left and right hand. The source for this figure is a contemporary print of Mr Edmund Kean who was known to have played in Shakespeare‘s play Macbeth in the 1830’s. This original Victorian Staffordshire figure was made c1850.
