A figure of Pope Pius IX standing on a titled circular base with gilt script, his right arm raised his left to his side, wearing a skull cap, long coat, and trousers, a sash around his waist. The Pope’s soutane was unlikely to have been knee-length, and it is probable that the potter’s source was not a full-length portrait, and imagination was used to complete the modelling of the figure. Cardinal Manning standing on an oval base with gilt script title, his left arm across his waist his right hand leaning on a pillar, wearing a biretta, chasuble, and soutane.
