A very rare true pair of figures of the Victorian murderer James Bloomfield Rush and his mistress Emily Sandford. Rush is standing on a titled base with gilt script, his right hand to his side holding a scroll, his left leaning on a pillar, wearing a long jacket, waistcoat, and trousers. Emily is standing on a titled base with gilt script, her right hand to her waist holding a handkerchief, her left holding a scroll, wearing a head-scarf, blouse, and long dress. Both figures are in very good condition, made in Staffordshire, England c1849.
