A superb example of Jenny Lind in the role of Maria in ‘La figlia del regimento’. She is standing on titled shaped base with indented gilt capitals, holding her hand to her hat wearing waistcoat, jacket, and ankle-length skirt. Our illustration is a coloured print of Jenny Lind, the source of this figure from a music front by John Brandard, for Jullian’s celebrated Polkas No 16. This figure is one of the finest example I have seen, it is in perfect condition with no damage or repairs, just minor touches to the overglaze blue jacket, it is stunning. Made by the Alpha factory in Staffordshire, England c1848.
