A superb large white and gilt figure of John Brown with very well moulded features, standing with an African-American child either side of him, on a titled base with gilt raised capitals c1859, his right hand resting on his hip, holding the girl’s hand, his left resting on the shoulder of the other child, wearing a long jacket, shirt, waistcoat and trousers. This figure can be found in two different sizes, this being the large example, I have included a picture of the two figures side by side to show the scale.

Current Condition: Professional invisible repair to front base, no other repairs or restoration.
