A figure of a man seated with a child, he with his right hand holding a book, his left resting on top of the child’s head, wearing a long jacket, neckerchief, and trousers. It is believed that this figure is a portrait of Lord Shaftesbury (1801-1885). It was made by the Alpha factory c1845.
