A very well coloured and modelled figure of Napoleon Bonaparte III standing on a titled oblong base with raised gilt capitals and titled Louis Napoleon, his left hand resting on his hip, his right to his side leaning on a stonework pillar, holding a plumed hat, wearing a tunic with epaulettes, breeches, and knee boots, a sash across his chest and waist.
This figure can be found in two different sizes, this being the smaller. It still retains an old Oliver Sutton Antiques label to the underside and was part of the Christies sale of the late Anthony Oliver’s shop contents in the year 2000. It is in original condition with no damage, repairs, or restoration, c1850’s.
