A  dramatic spill vase figure of Mazzeppa bound to the side of a horse, with a stream below and two foxes pursuing, a cloak is wrapped around his chest and waist, there is a stream on the base to the right. One of the finest versions of the Mazzeppa figure to have been produced by the potteries, this figure is bright and colourful and in superb condition, c1845.
