A really superb white and gilt pair of the famous Victorian evangelists Moody and Sankey.  Dwight Lyman Moody standing on a titled gilt lined oval base with gilt raised capitals, his left hand resting on his hip, his right leaning on a pillar. Ira David Sankey standing on a titled gilt lined oval base with raised gilt capitals, his right hand resting on his hip, his left leaning on a pillar, both have a separately moulded front leg which give the pair a more three dimensional feel. They are both wearing a jacket, waistcoat, and trousers. A previously unrecorded pair c1870’s.
