A very fine figure of the Rev. John Bryan (Welsh Wesleyan Methodist minister) standing on titled gilt lined base with raised gilt capitals, holding a Bible in his right hand on a pillar, wearing a tailed jacket, waistcoat, and trousers. Probably produced the year he died in celebration of his long life c1856. Underglaze black at its very best

Current Condition: Perfect, a superb example with no damage, restoration or repairs, crazed throughout and slight rubbing to the gold.
