A fine figure of Richard Cobden seated in a chair on a shaped gilt lined and titled base, his left hand resting on a book atop a pillar, his right hand resting on his leg with spectacles (over painted in this example but noted on similar figures), wearing a black jacket, waistcoat, breeches, and stockings. The discovery of this titled figure shows the ingenuity and versatility the manufacturers had with a single figure mould, this figure has often been made to represent a portrait of William Huntington and also James Sadler the balloonist.

Current Condition: Professional invisible restoration to right foot and both hands.
