Height: 7.5  Inches / 19 cm

Reference: Harding Book 1, Page 298, Fig 1084

A very rare figure of Richard III standing on a circular rococo shaped base decorated with rich gilding and cobalt blue underglaze, both hands clasped together, wearing a plumed hat, cloak, and tunic, a sword attached to his waist. The source of the figure is based on a painting by Thomas Sully, c1811, depicting the actor George Frederick Cooke in the role of Richard III from Shakespeare’s play. Possibly made by John and Rebecca Lloyd of Shelton, Staffordshire c1840. The figure has a professional invisible repair to the neck.
