A fine figure of Robert Burns seated on a circular fronted gilt lined base, taking snuff, wearing a jacket, neckerchief, waistcoat, breeches, and stockings. This figure was made by the Alpha modeller, c1845 and is in mint perfect condition.

There were countless snuff boxes created during the Victorian period with characters from Robert Burns poems, he was a keen user of snuff and he even wrote several verses on the pastime habit.
