A superb Victorian pocket-watch holder in the form of Saint George on horseback with the dragon below, St George wearing a plumed helmet, scarf, and tunic, the dragon recumbent below looking upwards. One of a very rare pair, this example in near perfect condition having a minor professional repair to the horse’s left ear, no other damage or restoration. It was made in Staffordshire, England c1845, this example still retains an old Oliver Sutton Antiques label to the underside.
