A charming early nineteenth-century Staffordshire pearlware figure of a single standing Dandy holding a top hat, painted with overglaze enamel decoration, c.1810-30. In Myrna’s words,  “Dandy figures ooze personality” part of a well documented theme of figures that are usually found in pair groups, they utilise closely similar moulds, slight differences in placement or painting that impart unique characteristics that allow each group to exude its own personality. This example is know exception, extremely rare to find as a single, this fine display example stands proud.
