A very rare pair of standing figures, one of Sir Henry Havelock the other Sir Colin Campbell. Havelock wears a high collar with necktie, tunic with a sash around his waist, and trousers. He holds his plumed hat to his head with his left hand and his right is on his hip; behind him and to his left is a small brick wall with cannon balls at the base, above which there are two flags, and behind and to his right is a cannon. Campbell is found with his right hand raised to his head holding a plumed hat, his left hand resting on his hip, a pair of flags to his right, a cannon and brickwork to his left, wearing a tunic and trousers, a sash across his chest.  The figure of Havelock is the only known example and could well be unique, both figures are the actual figure that were used in Harding’s illustrations. Both figures have been professionally restored, c1850’s.
