A superb figure of Sir Robert Peel standing, a pillar with sheaves of corn alongside his right leg, his left hand resting on a pillar, his right resting on his hip, wearing a long jacket, cravat, waistcoat, and trousers. Probably made to reflect the repeal of the corn laws in c.1846. A rare and desirable figure in excellent condition, just a slight rub to the nose. No repairs or restoration.
