A very rare and unusual Victorian Staffordshire figure of a street working man standing at a portable grinding wheel. This figure represents the day to day labours of a Victorian gentleman happy at work. The source to this figure is after a painting by David Teniers the Younger, 1610-1690, painted in Antwerp and titled ‘The Grinder’. The figure is in mint perfect condition having no damage, repairs, or restoration. It was made in Staffordshire c1860.
