A fabulous Staffordshire figure, of the Princess Royal on a titled oblong base with raised gold capitals. The Princess is seated in the Queen’s pony chair which is drawn between two long shafts, with her right hand holding the reins, her left in her lap, wearing a plumed hat, blouse, and skirt. This figure is one of the rarest of all the Royal children figures produced. It is in excellent condition with no repairs or restoration and dates to c1857.

Both Pugh and Harding failed to find an example of the pair to this figure, I was pleased to have discovered an example of it last year and documented it for the first time, it can now be seen in my archive section by following this link.
