A charming early figure of a boy seated on a bench and holding a book in his left hand, his right raised as if gesturing as he reads aloud, wearing shirt, waistcoat, jacket, and trousers. This fine figure is painted in overglaze enamel colours and dates to the 1820’s. Condition good, professional invisible repair to the base.
