An exceptional quality c1820 Staffordshire pottery lead-glazed figure finely dressed in tartan clothing. This figure is presumed to portray a theatrical character, as yet unidentified. Only one other has been recorded, that figure can be found in the Brighton and Hove museums. This example is wonderfully decorated in fine detailed overglaze enamel colours. A remarkable rendition that captures the essence of the subject perfectly.

Current Condition: Minor chips professionally repaired.
