A superb large standing figure of a Welsh woman who wears a Welsh hat with headscarf, long jacket, and a long skirt with an apron. She holds a bag in her left hand and a filled basket is over her right forearm. This figure could possibly portray Jenny Jones or represent regional Welsh costumes by the manner of decoration. This is only the second-ever large Welsh lady figure recorded and the only recorded figure with an underglaze cobalt blue jacket. Harding referrers to his example as being very rare and the only one ever recorded. I am proud to have found another example and be able to offer this fresh to the market figure for sale. This figure is in original condition with no damage, repairs or restoration. At some point, this figure has passed through Oliver Sutton Antiques and has an old dealers label to the underside.
