A very rare original Victorian Staffordshire figure thought to represent Queen Victoria and Prince Albert on their royal visit to Ireland in 1849. Victoria and Albert stand on an oval gilt lined base, she wears a plumed bonnet, long sleeved full length dress, and scarf, her left hand raised to her waist holding a glove, her right down to her side holding a bag, Albert wears a bowler hat, shirt, necktie, long overcoat, and trousers, his right arm around Victoria,  his left hand raised to his waist holding a glove. This example has a professional invisible repair at his neck, no other damage. repairs, or restoration. Made in Staffordshire, England c1849.
