A Detached Georgian House titled in gilt raised capitals ‘Palmers House’ on a rectangular base. William Palmer a Victorian surgeon poisoned his wife, brother and friend and was hanged for his crimes in 1856. This example is superbly modelled, one of the first out of the mould, very well decorated with an underglaze cobalt blue roof and over glaze enamels to the ground, fascia, and door, the gilding is the best I have ever seen. The figure is in original condition having no repairs or restoration, it was made in Staffordshire, England c1856. At the time of writing we hold a very fine portrait figure of William Palmer in stock.
