A fine and previously unrecorded late 19th century bust of William Shakespeare ( 1564- 1616 ) in superb condition. William Shakespeare is England’s best-known poet. An excellent crisp example showing how well the modelling appears when a bust is fresh out of the mould, this piece is rare having the name title applied in black cursive script to the front of the base, c1880.
