A good figure of  William Shakespeare‘s character,  Lady Macbeth superbly well coloured and modelled, this figure of Lady Macbeth is standing on a shaped gilt lined base, Macbeth holding a handkerchief and wearing a plumed hat, long ermine lined cloak, underneath a long dress with puffed sleeves. This Staffordshire figure is in wonderful condition and probably the best modelled version to come out of the potteries, it is attributed to the Alpha Factory and could possibly represent the actress Sarah Siddons in the role of Lady Macbeth.
