A delightful bright and colourful pearlware figure of a Harlequin. Here the figure stands holding a batte or slapstick in his left hand and down to his side, his right arm raised high to his chest, wearing a plumed hat, half face mask, and well coloured chequered costume, he stands before a short tree with flowering bocage leaves. A totally original charming and rare piece. This figure is in very good condition having a minor chip to the left hand professionally restored, no other damage, repairs, or restoration. Made in Staffordshire, England c1827.
