A fine Thomas Parr figure previously unrecorded of a standing country boy holding a bird, wearing a hat, neck tie, shirt, waistcoat, jacket, and trousers tied at the waist with a tartan cord and rolled up at the ankles. He stands on a grassy base while leaning on a tree to his back, in his right hand he holds a bird, his left in his jacket pocket, at his feet is a small open wooden bird box. An unusual figure finely modelled and very well coloured with overglaze enamels. This example is in perfect condition having no damage, repairs, or restoration. It was made in Staffordshire, England c1850.
