A very rare previously unrecorded pair of a Chinese man and woman. The lady is standing dressed in Chinese attire with a headband and loose-sleeved blouse, a skirt with an apron, and pantaloons. She holds an object in her left hand and a fan in her right. The man is standing dressed in Chinese attire with a pointed hat, long ponytail, long loose fitting jacket, and long loose trousers. He holds a sword to his left side and in his right hand basket of food. A very theatrical pair which awaits a discovery of their source. These figures are decorated in the manner of the Parr factory c1860’s. Both figures have had professional minor repairs.
