The Duke of Wellington on Copenhagen “Up Guards and at them!”

This figurine is exceptionally rare and sought after by collectors of all areas of Victorian pottery and is in perfect condition having no repairs or any restoration at all, which is a small miracle when you consider it was made c1852 (the year He died) and see all of the subsidiary moulds used in its construction with so many delicate vulnerable parts.  It is fresh to the market having been part of the late  Mr H. T. Appleton collection for over half a century . He was a pioneer collector of Staffordshire figures and friend of the late P. D. Gorden Pugh.
