A figure of a British sailor standing one foot on a cannon and the other on a muzzled bear, his right arm raised holding a flag, his left arm raised above his head holding a brimmed hat, wearing a jacket, neckerchief, shirt, and trousers. The bear beneath his feet represents the Russians, and this figure the allied victory over them in Crimea. A superb and well modelled figure capturing a patriotic moment from the past. This figure has a professional invisible repair to the sailors legs and tip on flat pole, it was made in Staffordshire, England by the Thomas Parr factory in c1856.
