A very rare pair of equestrian flower sellers previously unrecorded as a pair. A young man wearing a short jacket, shirt, and trousers, his hat is on the horse’s flank, holding a bunch of flowers to his head, there is a basket by the saddle, between the horse’s legs there is a flowering plant. The Harding reference tells us there is an unrecorded pair to the figure, I am delighted to have discovered it, a girl in mirror image to the boy. The figures display the applied blue grass tufts associated with figures produced at the Dudson factory. Both figures have professional invisible repairs and were made in Staffordshire, England c1860.
