A rare group figure of a boy seated on a horse on a title gilt lined base with raised black capitals, wearing a shirt, and kilt, holding a hat in his left hand, a woman standing in front of the horse holding his hand wearing a blouse and long skirt with apron, the horse’s head is turned to look at the child. This large figure is difficult to find, this example has a professional repair at the boy’s waist. Made at the Thomas Parr factory in Staffordshire, England c1860.
