A very fine and well-coloured figure group “Flight to Egypt” depicting Joseph leading his donkey with Mary and infant Jesus on its back. The similarity between the figure and the print are very striking and accurate which would point to this print being the source of this figure and many other religious figures produced at this time. It came from The National Illustrated Family Bible published c1850’s. This figure has a professional repair to the donkey’s ear, no other damage, repairs, or restoration. Made in Staffordshire, England c1850.
