A fine figure of a French soldier on circular gilt lined base, the French soldier is standing with both arms raised to his chest, resting on the barrel of the rifle, wearing a plumed hat, long jacket with epaulettes, and trousers. A very rare and difficult to find figure, this example shows all the signs of being decorated in the manner of the Thomas Parr factory c1850’s. It is in excellent condition with minor re-touches to the over glaze enamels.
