A matched pair of equestrian group figures of a boy and girl on gilt lined titled bases with raised black capitals, she is seated side saddle, he is astride the same horse, she is wearing a hat, short coat, and long dress, he is in a hat, short coat, shirt, and trousers, holding a basket on his lap. These figures are a mirror image of each other, very well coloured and both display the applied blue tufts of parsley clay associated with the Dudson factory. One of the most well produced of all Staffordshire figure groups, this pair are wonderful examples, sharp out of the moulds and both in perfect original condition, made in Staffordshire, England c1860.
