A superb example of Jenny Lind in the role of Maria in ‘La figlia del regimento’. She is standing on a titled shaped base with indented gilt capitals, holding her hand to her hat wearing waistcoat, jacket, and ankle-length skirt. Our illustration is a coloured print of Jenny Lind. The source of this figure, from a music front by John Brandard, for Jullian’s celebrated Polkas No 16. This figure is one of the finest example I have ever seen, it is mint perfect with no damage, repairs or restoration and minimal rubbing to the gold highlights. Made in Staffordshire, England by the Alpha factory modeller c1845.
